We (Tom Hoffman, Dave Welsh and I) would like to hold a SchoolTool sprint during the conference. In brief, here is what we would like to do:

1. Arrive at NECC with 6-10 young developers in tow, ready to spend 4 days of intensive collaborative software development.

2. Seek volunteers from among the attendees who would be interested in some aspect of SchoolTool (Tom would determine this) on which we want to focus. Let's say we work on the gradebook.

3. Bring the volunteers together on the morning of the first day of the conference. We would show them the current state of the gradebook and ask for feedback. They would be acting as "customers" in this process.

4. "Sprint" during the conference, working on the customer requests from the first meeting.

5. Bring the volunteer back together on the afternoon of the last day to show them how the program has changed as a result of their customer requests and our sprint.

What we would need from NECC:

1. A room large enough to hold about a dozen programmers working on software development.

2. A space for a slightly larger group (it could be the same space if it is big enough) for the opening and closing customer meetings.

Let me know what other info you need.

Thanks!
